Multi Modern Warfare 2

I use Holographic on my SMGs and Red Dot on my Assault Rifles.

With assault rifles, the red dot gives a more accurate target point then the holographic imo.
The red dot is small and precise and the holographic is kinda big and makes it difficult to pick off from a far because the sight blocks the enemy if they are laying down far away, etc

I heard that holographic zooms in a little more and the dot follows the enemy?

I can't tell the difference between the two.

For some reason I can't use the red dot as well as the holographic, I also like the larger reticule on the holographic because of the burst weapons I use, generally the burst fire hits within that whereas the red dot is much smaller. I really think it's all about aesthetics.

I always felt the red dot had more a precise location and gave you more visibility, the dot seems smaller so you have a better idea where it's going, and the glass around it has more viewable space because it's smaller, giving you more room to see, whereas the holographic one seems to have a bigger dot and the glass "scope" seems a little more difficult to see out of.

That's why I've always used the red dot over the holographic anyway.

Have Machinima subbed on YT so seen that video already but it's great.
I <3'd the music for the first episode.

Haha those videos are sick. I didn't know you can't shoot through certain leaves, or if you knife a certain mirror you die.

the bouncing throwing knives were sick too.

This game makes me so angry... they made it TOO GODDAMN NOOB FRIENDLY!
And seriously, there is no sure fire way to make snipers ALWAYS 1 shot people, and I think that's because some people get an unfair health boost, probably dependent on level or k/d ratio.
I kid you not, I've been running around with an Intervention, with FMJ, and stopping power, so the most powerful a sniper can get, and people have survived shots from a stupidly small range. While others die to 1 shot cross map. And it's always the SAME people who don't take a single shot. I can provide video proof of this for anyone who doubts me...
Assault rifles are also way too powerful... regular on MW2 is like Hardcore on CoD4, and hardcore on MW2 is like shoot a bullet you kill 3 people (with a bit of exaggeration).

And that's why I usually don't snipe in this game, the M16 is fine for sniping. Also the Intervention is easily known as the worst sniper in the game, so try switching to the .50 cal and see if you have any better luck. I will agree though that the assault rifles are overpowered, but they were pretty much just as powerful in MW

Barrett seems to one shot people even less than the Intervention... and I know that it kinda is the worst but I like the bolt action-ness, it's good for quickscoping.
And I swear assault rifles weren't nearly as powerful in MW...
Also, I don't have fun running around with an M16... it's just boring killing everything.
The only ways I can find to have fun on this game right now is sniping, where I either do decent or get angry at how all of my deaths is from magic bullets and people not getting one shot, or running around with marathon, lightweight and a care package marker, which also causes frustration from people who camp corners with RPDs.
Halo is so much better than this...

I have a class with Intervention and ACOG with stopping power and I use it to run around and do the auto aim and I get 1 shot kills. I got atleast 300 since I completed all 3 steps in Ghillie in Mist

So people ALWAYS die to 1 shots? Because that would make no sense if my FMJ class didn't and your acog class did...

FMJ doesn't increase bullet damage, it just makes them penetrate through walls easier.

The damage bar moves up a tiny bit doesn't it?

I guess thats how penetration increase is shown. I'm pretty sure it doesn't increase damage when you directly hit a person.

Oh right. Well even if it doesn't, it's extremely lame how some people die to 1 shot in the leg cross map, and other don't from 1 shot in the chest at extremely short range...

This just happened in the first game I played with an acog on instead of FMJ:
