PSP HEN Spoofing Firmware Guide

Good tutorial and thanks for including me in the credits .

When I get home I will provide the offset for R2.But for anyone who wants to look for it now,it is further down from the Chick HEN string.

(This is what mine says System Version: SPYRO)

Requirements:
HEX Editor: Search for it in google
ChickHEN: Download at: Davee's DevSite

Step 1: Download your HEX Editor (WINHex Recommended)
Step 2: Put your PSP in USB Mode.
Step 3: Go to your HEX Editor and open you H.Bin
Step 4: Search for Offset: 5D2C (Thanks Evilmaster)
TIP: Click on ---> If you have WINHex
Step 5: You will see: 5...0.3 C.h.i.c.k.h.e.n. . .
Step 6: Edit them any way you want.
Srep 7: Go back to you PSP and Launch CHICKHen (Or (Insert HEN Name) HEN)
Step 8: Voila! You now have (Insert HEN Name) HEN!

@Noldor: How did you hide the R2?
Normally, while you're in the HexEditor, at 5D2C Offset position, you'll see 5...0.3. .C.h.i.c.k.H.E.N.x.x.x.......(The x is space). Obviously, the first x (space) appears to be the space between the "ChickHEN" and the "R2". Of course we can't see the R2. So I suppose the 2 last x (spaces) would be "R" and "2". However, if you put "." into these spaces, it would still appear as R2 in the PSP. Then, I tried to change all the characters after "ChickHEN" to "a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a.a" Then, in the PSP it would be "5.03 ChickHEN xxxxxx" whereby x are Chinese letters. How could this happen? -.-

actually i have no idea about hexediting...i just tried around...but i think, i know how to get rid of the 'r2'....
on position 5D2C u start to enter ur 'firmware name' and when u reach line 5D40 (mine goes until this position) then finish the rest of this line with 00.
if u dont reach this line, make it anyway completely to a 00 line.
that's how it works on my psp. i used psp filer 6.0 and made that over the psp. i hope, i could help.
