Don't be... Update to 5.00 then.
P.S. All who have any questions about the exploit, PM me.
Why shouldn't they post them publicly so that all other members that might share the same questions can view them?

Gripshift was usermode, but there was a kernel exploit that could be used in it. (Example: Miriam's 5.02 HEN-A) That's why in my post I mentioned "Gripshift kernel exploit". XD
Bragon said:I guess Gripshift exploit could be used with the new kernel exploit to produce a HEN. It would be more stable than the tiff exploit, but reserved to those having the Gripshift UMD and their OFW 5.02 or less
There was an unreleased HEN for Gripshift, but Miriam did not release it because s0nY will patch the kernel exploit the HEN was using. So the public never got that HEN, and we only have usermode for Gripshift.
TIFF may be unstable, but I hope the HEN for it isn't. XD
Congrats, looks like I will be getting a PSP3000 then.
And then I get to the point where... will they release PSP4000 in 7 months?
You think a hack is going to force sony to release another hardware revision? Are you crazy ?if this thing goes through, probably yes.

Nice, but this future HEN is a truly HEN?
I mean, in the GripShift video you can see a full HEN (with a lot of GEN options), loading ISOS, etc. Is the future TIFF exploit a truly full HEN or only a homebrew enabler?
If only is a homebrew enabler...well, you will need a lot of files later to load backups, not all homebrew will have support to it, etc.
Anyways, if you want make a homebrew enabler you need patch the official firmware as a custom firmware does, somebody know this patches without be a custom firmware developer?
Why dont use the GripShift exploit (more stable) with the new kernel exploit and use the Miriam HEN? It is only a idea...later you always can release the TIFF exploit (improved and tuned) for the people that have the PSP in 5.03 or upper firmware.
Bragon said:My point was that since there is a NEW kernel exploit, Miriam or somebody else (maybe Davee himself) could release a HEN now based on this new kernel exploit AND Gripshift user exploit. Then the first kernel exploit would stay unrevealed and available for future development work.

Hi first of all thanks for this interesting feature, however i seem to be having problems running it on my PSP-2003 (G), it came with OFW 4.05, which i then upgraded to 5.03, I have tried the instructions in the readme file, however when I browse through the pictures, my PSP freezes, the memory card light remains on & it just switches off. Is there something wrong that I might be doing, as other owners of PSP-3001 systems claim that they manage to run this exploit without any problems...
Thanks for your help!
