[RELEASE] 5.03 TIFF Hello World

I have a PSP-2004 with 5.03 OFW. The instructions say to copy the slim.tiff to /PSP/PHOTO. That folder doesn't exist for me. For me, pictures go to /PICTURES/. If I create the /PSP/PHOTO folder, in the PHOTO menu all the folders in the root of the PSP appear (MP_ROOT, PSP, MUSIC, VIDEO, ...), but I can't get to slim.tiff. If I just put it in /PICTURES/ it just crashes, doesn't load h.bin.. I'll keep trying though.

Maybe it's because I have the European version?

SLIM.TIFF can work with all 200x and 300x. My friend has a Ta088v3 slim and exploit don't work. Readme says that on slim you won't need any pictures, but PSP crashes, and then we try with my pictures and it works. ;)

P.S. My friend has European Version of PSP.

Well, yes, it crashes for me, too. But it doesn't load the Hello, World program. Anyway I cleared the PICTURES folder as someone suggested above and at least now it reads pictures from /PSP/PHOTO/, but it still doesn't launch Hello World. I'll keep trying and waiting for teh awesomeness =)

Try restoring default settings.
For me it works 85/100 tryes with this.

If I may add this; also make sure your memory card supports magicgate on your PSP otherwise it may not work for you, at least thats what had happened in my case...

I don't think that's why. I think it's just that newer FW creates /PICTURES/ folder but I could be wrong I am new on the seen too!

PSP 3002
OFW V.4.20

Yes, It can work with my PSP-2006
but when I change the slim.tiff to phat.tiff
It doesn't work with my PSP-1000

We can run homebrew USB ISO LOADER (with Ltrigger to load from Mem Stick) and then play ISOs. But you need UMD inserted to play normal mode, otherwise you'll play OE No umd mode. ;)

Wait, what? I don't think I'm following you, since everyone says we'll need an ISO Loader to play such games.Which is probably not going to happen soon.

Read link above. USB ISO LOADER can run ISOs and CSOs not only from USB.

- Run USB ISO Loader and hold the L-trigger to enable MS mode which will load games off your memory stick. You should see [ms0:/ISO] in the lower left corner of the screen.

HEN is mod for your firmware. With HEN you can do anything, what you can do with official frmware, but the + is that you can run homebrews such as USB ISO LOADER.
