Tiff Exploit - HEN Information

i have a question concerning Remote Play:

In order to use the PSP->PS3 Remote Play, i need to update to the newest OFW (5.50). Once HEN is released, will i be able to use it regardless of what FW i have on my PSP? I'm pretty sure the answer is no, i won't be able to use it because it is not Custom Firmware but I use Remote Play all the time and if this means I won't be able to use it any longer, I will probably just update to OFW 5.50.

Anyone know for sure? Thanks.

well we will have to see.. i mean davee is only 15 years old (i believe) come on he really cant spend all his time doing all of this work when he could be enjoying himself. im 15 and i really wouldn't want to be doing this with all of the ungrateful people that don't even respect the decisions of davee for that thank you davee wee all appreciate this!

one thing for sure is that 5.50 bans the tiff exploit. once updated to 5.5, most likely u cannot run the HEN. so try to avoid updating to 5.5

Davee found a exploit (.tiff one) that works in every PSP (1k ~ 3k), a HEN would be created until today that will not support ISOs (still ok)! That HEN will be released here at the forum or in other site? I don't know where to find... I just wanna know if I'm in the right place! Thank you! And good luck to the HEN crew!

Once it's ready for release, it will only be released both here at MforMature, as well as on their own personal dev site (I believe it's called typhoon).

This is the exclusive place to get it once it's released.
 
probably it will have many bugs, but updates will be released soon...I think! I don't know if it's right to put my PSP 3000 on the table and start hacking it because of all those bugs. Are there any chances to brick our PSPs? Only God knows!!!
 
well im not god but what i know is that it is not likely to brick your psp because the exploit that will be for hen will load an EBOOT meaning that the unstable environment of the tiff eggsploit (lol) will be overcome by loading an eboot in a more stable environment... as qj posted the exploit runs off memory (RAM)
 
so the homebrews will be very limitaded ! Out of memory ram ? I am sure that it will be , in fact just an open window to others PSP developers play with .
 
I live in the U.S.A. and I was just wondering where DAVEE was from.... from what i picked up is that he is from the Europe area considering people say he is sleeping when it is early evening here...
 
Hey guys I just joined the site (i hate joining sites and forums >_>)

Anyway i was hoping for some help in understanding this whole thing

I've had this early psp for a super long time and my main reason for getting it was CFW, i wanted to play some old roms on the go (snes mainly)

well i had upgraded to 2.71 at the time because i didn't know how bad i'd screw myself over

then i somehow ended up on 3.11 which had me stuck for years and I never used my psp XD

recently i actually went out and bought a game and a mem stick

well i've been using it normally but i've still had this itch for homebrew and stuff to play midis, snes, and original ps1 (legally, i wanna play klonoa ps1 on the go for some reason)

I wanna go with CFW but i need some guidance as to what steps i'll need to do once this HEN comes out

if someone can give me some links of the correct tuts and stuff i'd appreciate it

(If anyone feels immoral helping me get CFW i'm not going to be pirating anything new or recent, i don't have an interest in psp games much which is why it took me 3 years to actually get a game [FFTactics PSP which is an enhanced port of the ps1 game which i also have the original copy to.] I just want to play ps1 games that i own and some snes games, as well as midi support)
 
at this point i'm so anxious to get this thing that i wouldn't mind a few bugs...there would be a patch later and i'd be cool with that b/c i know it won't brick my system. I'm still holding true to the whole "be patient" speal but man am i getting antsy! I really hope it's released today...i'm going insane lol

I would like to clarify my position.
I know that this will be released when it's released.
I will not even use it when it's released.
As with everything else ...
I will let the beta testers of the world see how it works with their systems.
I'm not saying that it will brick anything.
I am saying that it will not brick my PSP.
I'm also saying that I'll wait a decent period of time after the 3rd update before I try it.
Don't want the legions of beta testers to feel remiss you know.

All that being said.

There have been some gems posted to this board.
It's a shame that there is no way to jump them up.
 
So you're on 3.11? You currently have two options for downgrading, both of which require a little effort. One is to use the Illuminati Exploit. For that, you'll need a copy of Lumines, which is kind of rare at this point. Only Lumines 1, none of the other Lumines games, work. It's on eBay for pretty cheap these days. It's a good game, anyway. I recommend it.

The other option you have available is the Pandora Battery. This is the better option, but it requires having a modded battery or modding the battery yourself. There's probably a list on here of people who are willing to help you out with this on one of the PSP forums here on MfM.

They came up with a pandora battery.
That's all.
The battery works with the PSP 3000.
It does not however solve the pre-ipl problems.

Actually I have 5.03 because after i got stuck i gave up waiting for like 3 years and started using it normally and in order to play FFT after i bought it it forced you to download 3.5x or something

that's why i'm waiting for this hen thing

on the first page of this thread it was stated that CFW was possibly with a TA-088v1 motherboard or something (which i have i'm pretty sure)

and there was a link to some kernel downgrader or something but I do not understand anything XD

i'm sorta lost
 
@HaveANiceDay: Pandora battery is your best option. The era of game hacks and stuff was fun, but Pandora is fast and secure, once you try Despertar Del Cementario once, you don't wanna go back to the (small yet existing) risks involved with old-school downgraders.
