It's just a dummy file required by the exploit, the data is unimportant, changing it won't affect anything as it'll just be rewritten.

Nobody ever released a HEN that could load ISO's...
 
Well If egghunt.Bin is just a dummy file I still want to fool around with it anyway and see if it affects anything at all(Just for fun).

BTW systemctrl.Prx is where the most important information is right??

Bubbletune is right. All ISO loaders for the HEN were always external. They were just EBOOTs.

Bubbletune, I don't mean to beat a dead horse here but I wanted a definitive answer from someone who knows what they are talking about (that's where you come in). Is it possible (on the 3K) to have PSX emulation without having PSP emulation? Or is it impossible to separate the two...?

And I know I should try to avoid bringing it up but I just wanted one definitive answer real quick...
 
I'am confused about what I can't do in the chickHEN mode...
Is there any chance of brick if I connect my psp to a TV? Our if I watch movies from memory stick?
 
I fail to see how the PS1 support isn't an emulator.

Much less, why that matters.

The real thing is that games are still being released and sold for the PSP, so you're impacting sales if you pirate PSP games. As for PS1, you can get those off of the PSN, so you still have a legitimate means to access them.

Sure, you can use VC on the Wii for old SNES games and whatnot, but that's hardly the same as PSP games.

If worried about that why not turn off PSP reboot and then watch the stuff you want to do then reset HEN when you want to do it again.
 
Ok this ain't working.. I can't get IR Shell to work.. Keep getting the "Wrong FW" error...
I've put it on, put on the new bin file, should I remove something?
 
can anyone help me at all ive been trying for so long with irshell, but still the same firmware problem...does nyone know the solution or is it just impossible? thanks

This is about ChickHEN by Team Typhoon and anything related to it APART from features that Davee has continuously stated he will not support, like ISO, CSO and PSX support. It doesn't matter if you think your reasoning behind having one is valid or not. What Davee wants to support is completely up to him and nothing anyone else says will change that.

ISOs, CSOs and PSXs are different than ROMs in that ROMs are legal under the condition you own the original game (this is a legal clause found in any of the EULAs associated with these old SNES, etc. games). This is the last that will be stated on this topic in this thread. If you'd like to debate piracy, please do so in our Smart Talk Piracy debate provided you can follow our Smart Talk rules.

Anyone found debating the legality of ISO vs. ROM in this thread or discussing ISO, CSO, PSX, etc. support (that Davee has continuously stated he will never add) will be noted as being offtopic and/or spamming and will be dealt with accordingly.

Dam it. Oh well, I still got my thread in the welcome to the newbies thing. Any way back on topic, can some1 confirm if Davee said a later version of chickHEN will have Plugin support?! That would be awesomeness!

An update would have to be made to cxmb, but if this plugin support works the same as the plugin support in M33 cfw's, then YES, cxmb should work perfectly fine.
