3.40 OE-A Install Guide

A noob qn.
Getting a psp soon.
Just like to know if 3.10OE-A2 still require a UMD disc to play ISOs?
Thx!

most games work with no-umd, however, there are some that do not. For maximum compatibility its best to just leave a UMD in the drive.

help needed

my install is at a pause, after creating and moving the DXAR file and running the flasher, it gave an error and the screen went black... any advice? did I brick it?

thanks

3.10 Update File

Hey all,

Just a quick question. When I am grabbing the 3.10 PBP file, my comp asks me to save a file called EBOOT.PBP.

Is this the right file, should I just rename it??

Thanks again

6. Navigate to the game menu on your PSP, run the 3.10 OE-A flasher and follow the on screen instructions. Once done your PSP will now be running 3.10 OE-A :)

--after running the 3.10 oe-a flasher...my screen went black and i saw the warning window..i pressed x and it continued the process but at the part where it was opening the 3.10 update it stopped at 30% ..i left it alone for 2 hrs and its still stuck on 30%..

..what should i do?

opening the update or flashing the 1.50 subset?

If it stopped while flashing there's a high chance you bricked.. probably due to a fake memory stick. All you can do is just leave it there plugged into the AC for a few more hours and hope it finishes..

flashing the 1.50 subset..

..damn...i guess i bricked it..back to the store it goes or is there a way to recover..just in case..once i get my replacement is it better to do this upgrade using the original memory stick? because i was using my 2gb sony pro duo with this one..

nope, cause the 1.50 subset is what contains recovery etc.. use a different memory stick next time you flash. if you can, return that sony 2GB and get a sandisk instead.. they have much faster read / write speeds.

Those settings can be found in the recovery menu (hold R while booting up your PSP)

As for folders.. here are the main ones:

ms0:/ISO -> all your ISO games go here

ms0:/PSP/GAME150 -> place homebrew applications here

ms0:/PSP/GAME -> PS1 games

THX! manage to do it. :)
Any must-have homebrew application to recommend?

its because you have a slow (possibly fake) memory stick. users with these memory sticks have reported that it took them 2 hours + to create the DXAR.

I have a 2GB sandisk myself, and it only takes around 10 minutes.. so I recommend you try using a different ms.
