Help!

Hi,
I'm using fw 3.01, does it tis devhook works on it? I tried the steps, but my psp does not have any respond... It just keep saying "The Game Could Not Be Started (8002014C)" when I tried using PSARDumper. I'm a first time user of devhook. :p

help!!!

im new to this 2.71 SE, ok here's what happens when i try to emulate FW3.01.

First i run the tiff exploit, to run devhook 0.4x launcher for 2.71

then changing the FW to 1.50 to run PSARDumper

then after putting the f0 folder into dh\301\

i run the new devhook 0.51

then go into flash install

then uninstall dh files for flash1

then install configfile to flash1

then change the firmware to 3.01

then start devhook

but my firmware still is on 1.50

could someone please help me????

Sorry :\ You can't run homebrew on that firmware.. Devhook only runs on 1.5 - 2.71

why are you running the TIFF exploit etc if you are on 2.71 SE? There is no need, just put Devhook 0.51 in your 1.5 GAME folder (could be either GAME150 or GAME, depending on your setup) and run it.

but how do i start PSAR Dumper without changing FW into 1.50?

put it in your 1.5 GAME folder, which is either GAME150 or just GAME, depending on your config.

hey my psp has a ta-082 motherboard, so i don think im having 2.71 SE. So is there any possibilities to do this on a ta-082 psp like mine?

yup i did that and then psp restarts with devhook in a really odd looking form. it also says somethings corrupted in the background image. then wat do i do now?

thats a bit confusing .. can you use the firmware at all? What does the error message say exactly?

heres wat the menu looks like.

vshex DEVHOOK SETTING MENU
--------------------------------------

UMD IMAGE Emulation
CPU CLOCK default

UMD SFO VER Default
MENU on BOOT ON
PRELOAD ADDR 89200000
FIRMWARE not supported (in yellow color)
REMOTE PORT not supported (in yellow color)

ESCAPE the DEVHOOK
CLOSE MENU

behind all this theres a background image in many languages
saying "Setting information is corrupted. Pressing O button to repair and restore default settings."

The reboot.bin is automatically dumped if you did the PSAR Dumper part correctly..

Reason for just a black screen is one of two things - no reboot.bin, or you did not transfer over the dh folder from the devhook zip.

zeromaster: It would be in the one in the 301 dir

still no reboot.bin file, i triple checked the entire zip and i tryed loading devhook again, still the same, can you please check to zip to make sure that the file is not hidden or that the file is actually there, or even better just zip the reboot.bin plz

also i noticed the zip contained a notepad file with a programming language, is the language VB/C++/C# and do i need to place this code anywhere?

ok, did you try pressing O? You got everything right but its just giving you an error with flash1.

hey, i am having the same problem with the black screen - i start up the emulation and it gives me a black screen, power eventually goes off. PSP is 1.5 and i do have the reboot.bin file in and I did copy devhook from the zip...got the zip from exophase.com website I presume that is the one you are meaning?
going to try a different ISO, it's strange because I managed to get an ISO working using an earlier loader, then that loader stopped working for the ISO file and now nothing will load it, so i know it can't be corrupt as it worked once!

Is this a black screen when starting the ISO or when starting Devhook?

the main reasons for black screen are

no reboot.bin in F0 folder
no pspbtcnf_dh.txt files in 3.0 KD folder

if you have both then we need to figure out what the problem is.

well, this is the thing, the black screen is when starting one ISO, so i loaded another iso that i've had working on earlier devhooks. this one loaded through but then the same screen the chap above is experiencing, the "Setting information is corrupted. Pressing O button to repair and restore default settings." came up, with the devhook menu over it, then it crashed. reboot file is in the folder, and the text files are in the 301/KD folder.
i had to restore default settings, and now devhook can't detect the flash1 files so presumably these have been purged?
i am tempted to give up on this and stick with older ISOs! maybe it's a memory stick problem? my 1GB mem stick is fine but I keep that for emulation and the odd ISO, haven't put the 0.51 stuff on it as i'm now slightly worried. though common sense dictates it can't possibly have messed up my memory stick as i have formatted it a few times.

Yeah you have to reinstall the flash1 files now, that should fix the blue screen issue.

i still don't know where this stupid file is,

If you used the PSARDumper from the post, it will be there. Make sure you pressed X to get the files and reboot.bin
