Granite is right. HEN will just load homebrew, but it cannnot load M33 modules/functions so the USB ISO Loader will NOT work. Keep in mind that HEN is a small modification of the Official Firmware to allow unsigned EBOOTs to run.

So if you want an ISO Loader, it will be a seperate EBOOT that is ported to HEN and only uses the sce core (s0nY core).

we'll see (we may put M33 modules in the ms0:/ and in hex of the USB ISO Loader we may write ms0:/ instead of flash0:/vsh/modules/....)

You're gonna have to load the entire M33 core not just the iso functions. That that is going to end up failing because it's made for 5.00 and will probably be a buggy mess on 5.03. It will also mix with HEN patches causing more confusion.

I think Dark_Alex's permission is needed for use of those M33 modules in that way, and I also think Davee (the developer of the HEN) opposes piracy, so what you said probably won't happen.

Miriam retired from the PSP Scene, and the Gripshift kmode exploit used by Miriam is being used by some other developers to conduct reasearch on the PSP-3000. Miriam did not want his HEN released because s0nY will patch the kernel exploit found in Gripshift which is vital to the developers researching the PSP-3000.

I expect that on release the HEN will lack several features of M33 firmware (Probably including ISO loading etc), but i believe that won't last... i think the ultimate goal of this would be to load the entire M33 firmware dynamically (in memory), whether it gets there or not is quite another thing.

Davee said in another thread, that he will not implement the ISO/CSO feature. Someone else will have to devleop an ISO Loader (in EBOOT form) to load [legal] backups off the MemoryStick. The HEN will not have native ISO suport. Besides, I think the HEN should be mainly focused on Homebrew, not ISO.

He is right. Once they find the exploit that Miriam uses, they will patch it as soon as possible. Miriam's decision to not release the 5.02 HEN was good because that kernel exploit he utilized will be still there in higher firmwares.

There is my slim 4.01 M33-2 wheres in my house. And i only play ISOs (and CSOs). I have NO UMDs. No... Because it's (yes, you right) VERY expensive.
 
my psp serves like an ipod now... haha... mp3 and mp4 player... hope somebody will release an app that runs iso and cso files...
