so am i the only person where it says please waite... and nothing happens at all?

Something may be wrong with your memory stick - try formatting it first and see if that helps if not then you will need to try using a different memory stick.

Also make sure you 3.90 EBOOT download is not corrupted. It should match the file size of 24.4 MB (25,654,469 bytes).

Thats so cool have jus updated my fw via wifi, will all future updates be available via wifi?

Yes all future updates will be available via WiFi.

Hello, i'm new to this hacking buissnes but since I saw FF7 on a PSP must say I really wanted to get this going.

So far I have the latest PSP the slim ones with the speaks on the top of the PSP not at the bottom?

Anyway I was just wondering what will I need to get this to work and if it does "brick" does that mean no PSP? And if so how do I know mine won't or not?

If I do get this done is there sites that I go on to download more games say Crash bandicoot or Syndicate wars and so on.

Please type back

Tienak

Edit: One more thing I forgot to mention, people speak of downgrading their PSP...how do I do that?

You can purchase and download PSOne games at the official PlayStation Store. Or rip your own game discs. We don't support piracy here.

Someone who has a Pandora battery and magic memory stick can install custom firmware on your PSP. There are instructions for converting your own battery to Pandora and creating a magic memory stick here but in order to do that you need to be already running custom firmware.

So if you don't know anyone nearby that has these items there are few people at Noobz.eu who can install custom firmware on your PSP for free. You'll just need to cover shipping costs.

Sorry I made a mistake its not destination but "degeneration". I also don't know how many 0's it is. Thanks for going through the trouble for this, much appreciated.

Run KeyCleaner and fix any keys it finds problems with. That should fix the problem.

I will warn you though, there is always a small chance of bricking when making changes to the idstorage. Depending on how corrupt your idstorage is, the brick may not be recoverable even with Pandora.

i got a question...i already have 3.90 M33 but my friend had to send me the 390.PBP so im not sure how that file was made. Anyway my question is is that after you downloaded the offical 3.90 EBOOT was all i needed to do was rename that EBOOT to 390.PBP to get that PBP file? sorry i just want to get more understanding of all this stuff.

Yes. All 3.90 EBOOTs are the same. If it's not named as 390.PBP then just rename it.

This just wont do the trick for me and I don't know why.
-I have a normal/old PSP.
-SanDisk Memory Stick PRODuo 4.0 GB (I formatted it)
-I am on 3.52 M33-3
-Battery is 85%
-System language is English

So I put the whole UPDATE folder containing EBOOT.PBP inside X:/PSP/GAME. I also put 390.PBP inside the update folder.

Then I try to run it and it says unpacking for 1 second. After that it tells me to wait and nothing happens (I gave up after 20 minutes).

-Did I do ANYTHING wrong?
-Is there some other firwmare I could update to first and then try to install it?
-Or can I downgrade to some other firmware again and then try to update to the latest firmware that isnt M33 though?
-Any idea what I can do so I can install 3.90 M33?

thanks a lot

you need 3.52 M33-4, not M33-3. also set your Kernell to 352 and not in 150 (set this in Recovery Mode - hold R button when you start up psp)
